Everything in the town is yours to clear: trees give wood, rocks give stone and, in the town, iron ore a third of the time. The first goal is the portal: two iron ore. The clearing has a bench, a chest, a campfire and a well; build a house, a furnace and a range for crafting, an inn for bots and later a bank, a store, mines and a sawmill. Builds that have a job (a quarry, a turret, the store) work when a resident is put to work there. Gold paid into the bank grows the town a tier, with more room, more bots and more builds. The whole world has day and night, eight minutes a day; nights bring more monsters that hit harder, so be at a base or a fire.","linkedContent":[],"id":"01a1a318-cd64-7a12-8f79-4ed379bed243"},"id":"01a1a318-cd64-7a12-8f79-4ed379bed243"},{"type":"TextBlock","values":{"heading":"The endless world","body":"The portal leads out of the town to the wilds. The wilds have no end: the depth tier of the place you stand in is shown in the health panel and by the colours of the minimap, and it grows with the distance from your nearest base. Read a town portal scroll and stand still a moment to go home next to the portal; the portal then takes you back to where you read it. If you die you stand up at home a few seconds later and lose a share of your gold, nothing else.","linkedContent":[],"id":"01a1a318-cd64-724c-84b3-4bc7afbefff2"},"id":"01a1a318-cd64-724c-84b3-4bc7afbefff2"},{"type":"TextBlock","values":{"heading":"Bots","body":"Bots are party members run by the server. Build an inn (two beds each), stand next to it and click it: a bot costs 10 food and 10 wood, and you pick its role at the inn: chopper, miner, attacker or idle. Choppers and miners work the trees and rocks within reach of you, attackers shoot, a tank fights in melee where the monsters are thickest, idle bots just follow. Change a bot\u0027s role with a click on it in the party menu. Bots keep a slot by your side and follow your trail round trees and water.","linkedContent":[],"id":"01a1a318-cd64-778b-8094-33de0a146d03"},"id":"01a1a318-cd64-778b-8094-33de0a146d03"},{"type":"TextBlock","values":{"heading":"Pets","body":"You start with a pet, and more are found in the wilds. Pets also bite, shoot, heal and shield a little, and a robot pet crafted at the bench chops and mines by itself.","linkedContent":[],"id":"01a1a318-cd64-7f2e-9389-a414715fcf2d"},"id":"01a1a318-cd64-7f2e-9389-a414715fcf2d"},{"type":"TextBlock","values":{"heading":"Gear and power","body":"Your hero\u0027s damage, speed and health grow in stacks of one percent each: from the gear you wear, from power-ups that monsters drop, from pets, up to a cap (50 damage, 100 speed, 100 health).
